Important Announcement

Dear members and acquaintances,

In early 2024, Harlan Weikle created Nebula Science Fiction Blog and Facebook Group. He did this as a homage to the 50's magazine of that name. You may be familiar with this. PDF copies of all 41 issues of the original 50s magazine are available on the Blog.

While the original editor and publisher of Nebula Science Fiction, Peter Hamilton, is now aware of our activities, and gave us his blessings, it has been brought to our attention by a past president of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) that they hold the trademark for the Nebula Awards, which we're sure everyone is aware of, and that at some point they will ask us to stop using Nebula Science Fiction, as it would cause confusion.

We have decided to rename the publication Protostar Science Fiction magazine. Protostars form in Nebulas, and we created this free platform as a nursery for new stars that may someday shine bright.

The August issue, bimonthly prompt "Time Travel", will be the last issue using Nebula. We will be transitioning the Facebook group name soon, and the blog over the next few months.

This is a hard decision, but as we grow it is better to resolve this now.
