About Us

Nebula Science Fiction first appeared in print in 1952. It was the first SciFi magazine in Scotland, and it was published and editied by Peter Hamilton. It quickly became popular in the UK and spread to the US, Austrailia, and elsewhere. Hamilton fostered a congenial environment that favored new talent, but also attracted known SciFi writers.  It ran from '52 to '59, producing 41 issues, which are available here: 50s Nebula PDFs

In early 2024, Harlan Weikle decided to revive the periodical. He created this blog, and then distributed it via the Nebula Science Fiction Magazine Facebook group. In just two years, through his guidance, and the participation of some voluntieers, not to mention the talented writers, artists, and poets that contributed their works, a dozen issues were generated containing over 100 stories, numerous poems, and 50s retro scifi art.

We regret to inform our members, writers, and artists that Harlan passed away on April 16, 2026. Without his inspiration, mentoring, and leadership this instantiation of Nebula Science Fiction Magazine would not have occured.
He will be sorely missed.

Nancy Weikle - Editor-at-Large

I recently retired from a thirty plus year career in International banking splitting that time with non-profit management. Although sometimes closely aligned with science fiction, I acknowledge the banking industry did not make me an expert in the genre. Married to Harlan for 30 years, I am well aware of science fiction through his interest in the film Aliens was my first foray into sci-fi. I am an avid reader of new fiction, biographs and historical novels. I enjoy gardening, raising a dog pack and my book club. As Editor-at-Large for Nebula Magazine I’m charged with keeping the publication diverse, timely and FREE..
